J E Corp Ball Returns For underlane only, the MACH I is the quickest return of a small ball ever. We experimented 20 years ago with the mechanics of it, only to turn it off because the ball was coming back too low under the floor. Today, we bring it back between the lanes with EMT tracks. There is NO ball check - all gravity - the return will accept 3 balls, kissing each other, flying through the tube. The return is in the opposite position of most returns, it is serviceable for the bowler at the foul-line, saving time retrieving the second and thrid balls. This also allows over seven feet behind the foul-line for the ease of cleaning, sanding or using oil and, or a cleaning machine in the future. It can also be easily removed with two screws for the tray and base and only a few more for the hood, this is an advantage when resurfacing and screening. There are a few points to consider, not so much from the base price, but the instalation cost (for some) would be an extreme modernization. You must have plywood or similar gutters with a minimum of 23 inches between lanes at the wide divisions.
